The Brandon Burger at Archer’s Tavern (Centerville)
Archer’s Tavern in Centerville is one of my family’s favorite places to visit. Regardless of what we have ordered, the food is always very good, served hot and with a smile. They have a ton of beers available on tap that you cannot find anywhere else. Just an overall great experience in eating if you are near one of their locations (Centerville and Dorothy Lane).
That being said, I recently tried the “Brandon” Burger, which is a tender patty topped with your choice of a fried or scrambled egg and smoked bacon, with choice of cheese. They also provide toppings like lettuce, tomato, onions and pickle that you can add at your choosing, so the pictures depict both versions. I like to load mine up!
I have to say, the egg on top really won me over. It was a different take on a hamburger, almost a “breakfast” taste to it. But it didn’t overpower the actual beef and toppings at the same time. A great mix and always prepared fresh. This is a solid hamburger – and I would suggest giving it a try. The sandwich comes with homemade fries that also melt in your mouth. Portions fill you up and it’s not “over the top” to where it’s difficult to eat (falling apart, etc.)
And the best rating I can give a place is simply answering the question…
“Would I come back here again?” The answer to that is MOST LIKELY.
Affordability for the Working Man: $9.32 for a Brandon Burger, fries and water
Chances Would I Consider Going Back: Most Likely
