Blind Bob's Double CheeseburgerSounds funny to say Bob’s Burgers without giggling about the great television cartoon. But Blind Bob’s is far from a joke. In fact – it is squarely in the mix (if not the front runner) for best burger in the area!

Located in Dayton’s Oregon District, this local restaurant serves everything from brunch to dinner and drinks. They have a small stage where live music performs regularly. Not sure how parking works downtown, because there are not many spots available on the street. I think there is a nearby lot or parking garage, so check it out before visiting…and you SHOULD VISIT!

Although they have some popular styles of burgers, such as the Rajun Cajun, the Frisco, BBQ and the Italian – I choose to get mine with the standard lettuce, mayo, onion and pickle. You can select from NINE different cheeses, which I’m sure affects the experience, but I stuck with American cheese.

SIDE NOTE: They also offer a variety of sauces and I asked for the Buffalo sauce to dip my fries into. Let me just tell you their Buffalo sauce was HOMEMADE and AWESOME! Blew me away. Can’t wait to try it on a chicken sandwich down the road.

The server was great and sat down briefly with us to chat. Came by to refill drinks and provide more napkins throughout. You WILL need more napkins. 🙂 The food came pretty quickly, but the place was just opening, so I’m sure that had something to do with it.

I was worried about getting a Double Cheeseburger, because sometimes (like at Wendy’s), when you get too much meat, it upsets the balance of flavors. Too meaty would make the fixings disappear, so I wondered if I had made a mistake?

Let me just say that the double beef was “perfect” for the taste and bite radius of my mouth. If this isn’t on of the best burgers I have eaten, then I am not sure what else could make it any better?!? Literally was full of flavor, juicy and tender to a fault – requiring the extra napkins mentioned above. I asked for medium rare, and was thrilled that it actually came to me that way. Many places overdo it as a form of protection, but this one was an absolutely ELITE and FANTASTIC HAMBURGER.

Do yourself a favor and go try this burger. You will not be disappointed. And for me, the best rating I can give a place is simply answering the question…

“Would I come back here again?” The answer to that is every chance I get! I would go out of my way to visit Blind Bob’s again, and it is about 20 minutes from my home.

Affordability for the Working Man: $14 for Double Cheeseburger, fries and a water

Chances Would I Consider Going Back: 100%

We saw on the menu a peculiar soup, one that I had never heard of before. PICKLE SOUP is their take on potato soup, with a twist! On the menu it reads “Sounds strange (we know), but Tastes Amazing”.

We ordered a cup of this soup to try it, and it blew our socks off! No kidding. One of the best soups I have tasted in my 48 years on this planet. We even got a to-go order to bring home with us if that tells you anything? 🙂

Do yourself a favor and give it a try.
