Tank's Bar & GrillTank’s Bar & Grill is located on Wayne Avenue, just outside of Dayton’s downtown area. They have a small parking lot behind the building, and I believe along some of the side streets. The inside was very clean, bright and had a full bar. Televisions are also there, making it a great locale to watch ballgames as well.

As I waited to place my order for their signature Tankburger, I overheard the guys behind me taking about how “this place has the best burgers in the area”. A good start to any quest is hearing unsolicited praise for what I was about to experience. They actually were discussing their own opinions of the best hamburgers around – I felt right at home. 🙂

BONUS – I came right at what I think is the start of lunch, but quickly discovered that Tank’s also provides breakfast to their customers as well. So there were quite a few folks in there, enjoying their bacon and coffee. Heard it is quite goos, so may need to check it out someday.

Tank's Bar & GrillThe Tankburger was delivered to my table and I was NOT disappointed.

Half-pound of ground chuck beef, with fresh toppings on the side. It didn’t take long to load it up on the fresh kaiser bun, using lettuce, tomato onion, pickles, mayo, mustard and ketchup. Just writing about it making my mouth water – that should tell you what cam next!

Tank’s prides themselves on using the freshest meats and toppings – and you could sure tell. Very juicy burger with a big-time taste. Maybe a little “butter” detected on the beef (like great steak houses?) Not sure, but I can tell you the Tankburger is an ELITE HAMBURGER. There is no debate on that.

One of the few I have experienced that will be in the discussion for the very best. Amazing hamburger – fresh, large portion, fantastic taste.

And for me, the best rating I can give a place is simply answering the question…

“Would I come back here again?” The answer to that is every chance I get!

Affordability for the Working Man: $7.50 for Tankburger and a water – $4.80 extra for handcut fries.

Chances Would I Consider Going Back: 100%
